SAFA Candidate Platforms
VP Internal: Cayali Gnanapragasam
My name is Cayali Gnanapragasam, I’m a third year student in History and Religious Studies,
and I am running for VP Internal for SAFA. I have been interested in student government for a
long time, and I recently got the opportunity to serve as your Interim VP Internal. I have always
participated in student life but now it is time to be even more active in order to give back to the
community.
My job as VP Internal is to make sure that everything behind the scenes runs smoothly so that
SAFA as a whole is better equipped to serve you. If elected, you will continue to see the fast
response times I have been delivering over the past four months, as well as continued
innovation to make internal processes more streamlined and user friendly.
I’ve really enjoyed my time with SAFA so far and I want to continue working for you in order to
have a long term impact on the Arts community here at uOttawa!

VP Comms Franco: Bianca Lavigne
Hi! I am Bianca, a fourth year English and Creative Writing student here at uOttawa and I’m running for VP of Francophone Communications. In 2024-2025, I was VP of Translations for uOpoetry, a role that included English to French translations for social media posts. In the past year, I also have promoted for my DJ Collective, Exosphere, and boosted attendance for promoted events. Through this experience, I have built the right skills to create and translate promotional and communications media for SAFA.
